"Upsetting visit......"

We recently were told that a friend was visiting an owner of one of your units for a few days and the whole time she was there, there was constant noise (i.e., banging of doors, dog barking--CONSTANTLY all day and night) among other annoying things. She came home totally exhausted and turned off by the whole experience. This unit was visited before, a few years back but it was a quiet, peaceful setting. The people who were living there were courteous of each other and respected 'their space'. I had planned to go for a visit to see my friend soon, but I don't think I could stand it! What a shame! It only takes one rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel. I sure hope something can be done about screening potential buyers for such nice Condos soon, because right now, I'm avoiding the place. I sincerely hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears. Thankyou for taking the time to read this and act upon it.

This sounds so unlike our community and it's unfortunate your friend's visit was so stressful. As a non resident she would have no process to protest any type of behaviour in this complex as long as it was not illegal. Considering the fact that her host(s) have not lodged any grievance with the strata council we have to wonder if possibly your friend was exaggerating a slight bit. If the barking dog(s)were in the complex that is an issue that we can deal with but if they were from a house across the fence they would have to be dealt with in the normal manner with municipal bylaws. Possibly if we knew which unit your friend was visiting we could identify the problem better. As for screening potential buyers, other than making sure that they have read and understand the bylaws we do not, nor do we want, the right to screen potential purchasers.
